A downloadable game for Windows

A short Horror game that tries to emulate mid 2000s dual screen handheld gaming.

In the game you hold the imaginary device sideways and have two screens right next to each other. The left one is the main one, while the right one is your peripheral vision, that shows you ghostly things hiding from your main view.

Walking is done the traditional way (WASD), while rotating the camera and every form of interaction is done via the fake stylus on screen, inclduing taking notes in your notebook!

It's a little experimental and takes a lot of inspiration from an era of games that where all about experimenting, but I hope it's gonna deliver some interesting 10 - 15 minutes of gameplay.

Story:

It's been over a week and not a single word. It's one thing he didged your gaming evening, but completely ghosting you for days? Something wasn't right!

So you showed up at his appartement after work, not really sure what to expect.

Context:

Essentially a gamejam game with no gamejam attached to it.  Less than two weeks before halloween, i suddenly hadthe idea for a game that pretends you are playing on that one 2000s handheld with the two screens (blanking on the name right now, oh well). Couldn't shake the idea so I eventually gave in and starting working on it after a full day at my dayjob. 1.5 weeks later I managed to got it done in time for Halloween! :)

saw this through twitter and bookmarked it. finally checked it out. it's cool how much something as simple as splitting the screen in 2 can do

This game has a creepy atmosphere that I haven't seen in other games. It is short but so bizarre and uncomfortable in a good way.

Really lovely and short atmospheric horror game, thank you for creating it.
Also works good on Linux via Proton Experimental (default wine didn't work)

A great horror game. I finished it in 20 minutes. I like the the mid 2000s aesthetic. The game is scary and atmospheric. When i got the first purple monster jumpscare it scared the sh*t out of me!

I really like the dual screen design in this horror game! My favorite thing about this game is the fact that you can draw whatever you want on the notepad lol! Keep up the excellent work!

Fairly interesting and unique game for sure. I don't think I've seen many people do the DS style of horror like this. Nice job. Keep it up.

Here's my channel for other games I have played. https://www.youtube.com/@Levont

I really liked the concept of using two screens, i wish there were more games like this. Absolutely lovely.

For years, Siacro has tormented me with the horror levels in his non-horror video games.  Now he has finally made an actual horror game.  It is very good and I hope he had a happy halloween.

I liked it quite a bit

Loved it so much! I think experimental stuff like this is where we indie devs can really shine, because it would be just too risky for the big studios. Really takes one back to the earlier days where video games weren't these true and tested things and even big names in the industry just cooked up the strangest concepts.

Regarding the game itself, I loved the atmosphere, the story and the whole vibe. Reminded me a bit of Kairo. I actually would play a full fledged game in this style.

I also loved the weird connection of the screens and your eyes, had a surreal feel to it.

My only "complaint" would be, that the camera would not stop moving when you moved the stylus outside of the screen, so you could effectively just click the left screen, and then use the mouse as a standard FPS mouse-look. Would feel even more clunky (in a good way) and claustrophobic if the camera stopped when you reached the edge of the left screen.

This game was neat. Made for a unique use of the dual screen perspective.

This was so cool! A real blast from the past! I love when games  have a good gimmick like this, and then it was actually a good game on top of that! I give it 5 creepy eyes out of 5!

Oh god it reminds me of both Nanashi no Game and Again for DS.I loved it GOTY 15/10.

This is such a cool concept, and the execution was fun as well

Thank you for making my Halloween a little better!

Really spooky game! Perfect for Halloween. Using the stylus to move around the camera adds another dimension of what I'm dividing my attention towards. I'm a really big fan of the DS and 3DS, so horror utilizing the strenghts of that is unique. If I can say 1 tiny nitpick though, the screen isn't actually divided like a DS game, so the overlay feels flat. I don't know if having the screen divide down the middle accounting the space inbetween the screens would be too much though. Again, a nitpick. I'm glad to have followed your profile, I was quite scared :D

Can't wait to play this!

Wait, so, an ACTUAL horror game rather than a "cutesy platformer with creepy stuff"?

it was scary :(
