Gonna assume that being caught by it won't be merely a 'teleport' in the future?

It wouldn't even have been a simple teleport in this version. But a "night before release" bug vetoed that. Needless to say, it was a pretty new one. :) Thanks for the video though. <3
I played the demo on HauntedPS1 Demo Disk, and really enjoyed the game. I'm so glad there's more to it. I thought it was really cool how you had the intro for the game with the characters. Also, I think it's really cool there's a story to the game. LOL. The short yellow dude reminded me of the short blue dude from Dragon Ball. Overall, I really enjoyed the game, and I'm looking forward to more episodes. Tips?... I think.... I guess... It'd be nice to have some note or writing in like the top right corner or something like that to see your objective. I found myself trying to figure out what to do sometimes. It'd just be nice to have the current objective displayed somewhere. Also, I don't know what the fish were about. LOL. Probably my last thing, but for me personally I'd like the game to be a liitle harder per say or have a little more tension. Basically, I think I'd enjoy it more if it was a little more challenging, since I beat it with such ease. But yeah. This was a really good game, and I'm glad to know there's more coming. Keep up the good work.
Thanks a lot! :) I admit, there might be a few dragon ball influences. ;)
I do get your points (especially the last one), but for now there a good reasons to not change any of this. However, this does not mean I am not going to incorporate any of those ideas in future episodes so thanks. :)
Sorry for such a alte resposne. I hope you are doing well, and that the game is coming along smoothly. We are all excited for episode 2. We will wait no matter how long it takes. I undertsand it's not always as easy as it seems and you run into issues, so please do take your time. It's nice to know you are actually paying attention to reviews and taking in ideas mentioned from others. Thank you for also taking my recommendations into consideration as well. Your game has such potential. I believe you'll get a lot of recognition. I also believe you could catch the eyes of famous YouTubers with your work. I wish you the best of luck! Have a great day! :)
Hey no worries. :) As you can clearly see, I haven't been able to answer comments in quite a while. I currently have a few projects going on. One being obviously tasty ramen episode 2, and the others are small side things that came along and hopefully make sure I have a bit of a budget for episode 2.
Let me just get this out though: Wow, I honestly have no idea what to say. :D This has to be some of the kindest and nicest words I have heard ever. Thank you very, very much :) I always try to listen to what people say about my games. Especially if it is makes a lot of sense to me! :D I also hope you are right, I honestly wouldn't complain about any of it. :) Thanks again and have a great day too.
One way to catch an audience is to make good content, but a really good way to keep your audience is to be involved and listen to them. AND THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT YOU ARE DOING. You made a good game with a lot of potential, and you are being active with you audience, reading what they have to say, taking advice and tips into consideration, and replying. Much love AND respect to you from me.
I would also like to say, I am very glad my previous words to you moved you in such a good way. You are very much welcome. Remember to not push yourself too hard. Take your time. I would like to wish you luck on your other projects. It says there is an update for Tasty Ramen. Is there any way I can see what has been updated? Also, do you have anything I could make a donation through to help you out? I really like the game and support you. I should be getting money/start making money soon, so I'd like to help you out and donate even if it's just a little amount of money.
Hey there, thanks again! :) It really means a lot to me. Thank you ver ymuch but to be honest, I was slacking a bit with the communication as of lately. I had a lot of other work to do, but I try to change that from now on. I always like to read from people and listen to them, when they talk about my game. I am just super interested to hear what they have to say.
The last update was merely a few bug fixes, so nothing major. Usually I try to announce the changes in the devlog section of this page.
Thank you very, very much for your wish to donate. :D The best way is always to spread the word. <3 But of course, a tiny bit of money is always welcome and helpful. You could either become a supporter on patreon, or you can directly donate a bit of money via the download button on this page. :)
Thanks again for your kind words. <3
Made a video
I had the pleasure of reviewing your new Beta! I LOVE RAMEN NOODLES
I LOVE your game. The first demo was fun but this one blows it out of the water! Tasty Ramen is my favorite antagonist monster. WAY BETTER THAN SIREN HEAD!
Liked it a lot, only complaint was there was no way to adjust the audio, or open any pause menu, for that matter.
Merci d'avoir créé une si belle expérience d'horreur. Marcher à travers la maison chaque jour a provoqué un si grand sentiment d'effroi et de peur et cela m'a fait deviner chaque étape du chemin!
Loved it the characters the style the little story it was perfect
i loved this game i remember playing the old one where it was just a small store with the ramen guy chasing you but now its like a whole new game here is a little video of my gameplay its the second game
Absolutely loved it! The colorful, yet simplistic, art style was great. I played the beta of this game before Episode 1 released, so cool how you added a story behind a game as unique as this. I had a blast playing it, and am looking forward to Episode 2. 10/10
I liked it! I really got scared from that ramen thing XD
This was a blast to play! Not to be impatient, but is there an ETA on episode 2? lol
Thanks. :D That is a bit difficult. Right now I am still working on Episode 1 to get everything polished. Episode 1 took us around four months. However, at least one month was planing. A realistic goal might be october. However, a lot can still happen, so it might be later.
This was a fun game to edit into a video! I really ready for episode 2 can that anime intro was some heat!
Great game! Fun and adorable. I also dig the PS1 aesthetic. Keep up the great work, I'll definitely be waiting for the 2nd Episode!
Honestly was an amazing game, and it's evident from the great reviews. The gameplay was just super funny and didn't get boring becuase of the amazing art, the way you made the game feel fluid and not sluggish as many other games are. And kepeing the tone goofy and cartoon/ anime like.
The intro and outro usic was fantastic and loved the composition. It worked so well with the game and instantly made it a hit. The cute and goofy background sounds also helped keep the game fresh throughout the play through. Even liked the way taht you need to figure out hat you can lift and throw boxes and the batteries in order to attract/ distract the ramen bowl, gives the player a sense of proudness and skill, and also helps keep the hunt for the batteries entertaining.
There are two main glitches that I found in the game; one was at the very beginning; I walked into a tree whilst looking straight down at the character model's shadow and the inverted my controls somehow. I was able to restart the game and fix that, but thought you might like to know of this.
The second bug isn't technically a bug, but it's the way I beat the game. I was able to lure the ramen bowl outside of the shop and collect and deposit multiple batteries before it returned. So a area restriction for the ramen bowl might be in your interests unless this 'bug' was intended. If it was, it's a pretty cool small thing for the players to find out.
An overall amazing, great game. My only suggestions would be to make the ramen bowl a tad bit more aggressive so it's a little harder. But yes, the easiness of being able to outmanoeuvre the ramen bowl is what makes the game as fun as it is.
Sorry for the super long comment, but it was an amazing game and cannot wait for Part 2 (And maybe a potential anime spinoff?) Take care and good luck to you all!!
Heya, first of all thank you very much for the video and the bug report.
I simply didn't think of the second one. That really shouldn't happn. :) I will fix that.
Thank you especially for the comment about the game's feeling. :D I always try to make my games as fluid as possible. This time I used a lot of cutscenes and was really scared it might bring the game to a crawl. I still need to include an option to skip those though...
He will become more aggressive in future episodes, for sure. :) Not sure I should increase it in this episode though. I absolutely get you. I am able to outrun him with ease, myself. Though I saw a lot of people already struggling a bit with the way he is right now. It's really tough to find the right balance :D
No, no. I am super grateful for the long comment! :) Thank you very much. I would love an actual anime for this. Though, I doubt it well ever happen, unfortunately.
Thanks again, you too! :)
I this love this game it's so amazing 100/100
Thank youuu! <3 And like I already said: "Unsettling Anime" is the official genre for this game now, hah! :D
I love this so much! 😁The music and the intro honestly made day! 😂
i have played all 3 versions 1 the warehouse 2 the tiny shop and now 3 the big shop i loved evry version
Oh wow, basically that makes you a ramen historian or something. :) Thank you so much for sticking around! <3
Randomly found this game, saw the psx style graphics and the overall premise and thought it'll be fun. Boy was I in for a ride, unsure if the developer is Japanese or not but it definitely nailed the random and weirdness of Japan all in this game. I think there is nothing that can prepare anyone when playing this game so I implore you all to check it out!
Hahaha, thank you very much! :D No, we both are not japanese but might have seen too many animes I feel, haha. Thanks a lot for the video and the kind words. <3
i already thought this was gonna be good but it was better than i expected cant wait episode 2!
I beat a game of I guess tasty ramen that's considered horror? LOL!
So cool !
ohhhh really? plz do the ep 2!!!!
broooo i love this game its sooooo cutee!!!
Nice game! Would be even greater with multiplayer.
Amazing game!! Really enjoyed it :)
can't wait for episode 2 Here's some gameplay
I sadly cannot play this game because I have a Mac (I'm also the worst with horror games that involve running), but I wanted to comment to say that I absolutely LOVE the aesthetic of this game. It reminds me a little of LSD: Dream Emulator.
I plan on porting the game to mac and linux as soon as episode 1 is done :)
Why do the noodle its so fast how do i escape em
This was absolutely amazing. The intro song blew me away, and I love the overall style of the game. Gameplay is straight forward, but still oddly frightening. My only issue was that the controls suddenly inverted at one point, but I was still able to play and beat the game! Looking forward to episode 2!!!
Thank you very, very much! :) The song is licenced though, but the opening animation is done by us. :D That bug will be gone with the next update, i promise.
I Loved the game especially the anime intro and it was a lot like an episode of DBZ but my controls swapped during the game
Yea that is a nasty little bug. Will fix that in the next version. Thank you very much for the video and yea... it is a bit heavily inspired by DBZ, I admit it. :D
My expectations for this were far exceeded! Played the original demo a while back and was very pleased with this new addition! Can't wait to play the next Episode! Second game in the video! :)
OH I'M BACK for more Tasty Ramen! Hilarious and scary mixed together in one big steaming bowl of broth. There are bugs, maybe intentionally? I overwhelmed it by the end
|YOUTUBER: Maya, The Bubble E1|
(Subscribe today to keep ramen gone cold away! :D)
Thank youuuuu! :D And yes... of course the bugs are intentional... I will shamelessy use your video as a bug report, thanks for this! x)
Here's a video of this awesome game I did in 240p cause I love low poly model games.
It is really cool to see it look like it actually would have back in the day! :D Thanks again for this! <3
I really enjoyed playing this game on my CRT at 240p. Unfortunately all text in the game is cut off on the left. Not sure what your plans are as far as supporting lower resolutions go, but I still had a blast getting chased by demonic ramen haha!
The first demo version was playable in 4:3. However I ditched it, because I ultimately decided to go for player convenience first here.
Wow really great job. I didn't expect to see updates to this game, but i am pleasantly surprised .
Thank you. :) Yea I took a short break from it to understand where it was going. Now I have a storyline and a few cool ideas ready.
SO CUTE!! <3 i'm really looking forward to episode 2!! :D one issue i had though, was when I walked on top of the bench in front of the store, as soon as i stepped off, the controls had been switched (s=forwards, a=right, etc.) I don't know why that happened exactly, but I had to restart the game :( anyways, looking forward to the next episode!! :)
Thank you very much! :D
Yea that is a nasty little bug. I still haven't fully figured out what happens. I do have a few lines in place that should avoid this, but somehow they don't :/ Must be me forgetting a thing. I will fix it for the next update :)
